Taking villages on the island allows you to use DEMAND to gather resources faster. If you are on a lot, then use the smallest time frame for collections if you can. You get a much higher rate of collection. Try to work over time to take the 8 villages on the island for maximum collections.

You can use expansion to donate excess resources to a village to raise the level. A higher level will produce more resources to collect. The city starts at Level 1 and is at maximum at Level 6. All the cities on the same island can collect from the village, if they have also conquered the village. Check with the leaders of this clan when you consider raising a Level on a village. The preference is to raise village Levels on islands where the majority of cities are in our alliance.

Each village requires that you have a certain amount of soldiers recruited. You need that amount of soldiers in your city but you do not have to deploy that many to the village. Below are the amounts you need and what you should send to take it over.

1st city- you get at the beginning (or if you are on your second or more city you only need to send one soldier)
2nd- need 6 soldiers, send 6 swordsman
3rd- need 10, send 10 swordsman
4th- need 40, send atleast 8 slingers
5th- need 100, send atleast 32 hoplites
6th- need 300, send atleast 15 horsemen
7th- need 600, send atleast 140 slingers

Use the SIMULATOR on unconquered villages to determine the amount and type of troops to use to take the the village. You can retry different numbers until you find the predicted result you wish to have.

Conquering farm villages

1st Village - 0 FS
Defense - Nothing
Conquer - Any unit can take this, just send something.

2nd Village - 6 FS
Defense - 1 Slinger
Conquer - 5 FS of anything will win, but Slingers, Horsemen and Chariots will do it without losing anyone.

3rd Village - 10 FS
Defense - 3 Archers
Conquer - 1 Horseman or 5 Slingers (will lose 2) or 2+ Chariots (will lose 1)

4th Village - 40 FS
Defense - 60 Slingers
Conquer - 7 Slingers (will lose 5)

5th Village - 100 FS
Defense - 60 Swordsmen
Conquer - 35 Hoplites (will lose 30)

6th Village - 300 FS
Defense - 100 Archers
Conquer - 13 Horsemen (will lose 11)

7th Village - 600 FS
Defense - 300 Slingers, 80 Hoplites and 80 Horsemen
Conquer - 140 Slingers (will lose 133)

8th Village - 1000 FS
Defense - 150 Swordsmen, 150 Archers, 75 Hoplites, Level 20 Wall
Conquer - 175 Horsemen (will lose 166) OR 500 slingers, 120 hoplites, 40 horses, 8 chariots, 16 catapults. (SIMULATOR calculates that it will also be taken with 625 slingers)
